Jaane de na Yaar...

India is a developing nation. Thing are changing too fast. Communication problems have almost been solved. IT centers, Malls, Service centers are every where. Village is turning into towns and towns are cities and cities are into metros. It has a rich culture. In ancient time India was called as a country of countryside or villages, means today also called as country of villages. The literacy ratio is growing as like the economy of India. People are getting aware of the things but it’s their nature and that is adjustment or Jaanede yaar….

We are so called a country of poor people and the country’s economy is based on the income of an individual. Our Govt. declares lots of people are comes under bellow poverty line and it is true but not fully. I regularly visit to my brother at Chennai. I earned a wealthy friendship with his friend circle. Chennai is famous for its climate i.e. hot… hotter… hottest. But every time I was fortunate and never felt the situation. And few time I felt like the climate of Bangalore. Oh’ we are talking about the Chennai and BPL people. I, my brother and his friends always were to any of the famous on my arrival. So we visited Kanchi puram, a famous place for various Hindu temples. Puddicherry is a beautiful place for holiday and wine. Mahabaleswaram have a very old and beautiful sun temple on the Sea beach. And many more places are there around Chennai. And in Chennai we pass our time in Marina Beach and Shatyam/Geega Movie Theater. One day in the evening we were resting at Marina.

As you know, the beach side is full of various local stores. We visited into the lane and stopped at the Panipuri Stall. As you know kya taste hai yaar. I asked my brother to have few and he joined but he doesn’t like these at all. He is very sweet. With his company I ate around six plates and he only one. So per plate Rs. 7/- it was 49/- and we gave him a 50/- note and we started walking out. ThatPanipuri boy came to return us the left money. We said keep with him and start conversation with that boy.

Me: Yaar, old are you? “Twenty” he said.

“So what classes were you studied?”, I asked. “Sixth” he replied.

“and you are here with your family or they are some where else?”, my brother asked. “No here I am with my friends and my family is at Jharkhand”, he said.

“Why don’t you do another job which will make you more money?”, I asked. “Sir jee, we dressed like a poor person to gain the sympathy and my income is three times of yours.”

“So where do you keep this money and why don’t you open a restaurant?” my brother asked. “Ab kya bataoon sir je. We are Unpadhs (illiterates) who will check the account, going bank, its very difficult. And after that Tax ka chhakarr, better Jaane do yaar… Life is going, money is coming and we are enjoying. Who is going to earn the suffering from Govt. Aaye toh batao hum BPL hain.

We both stared at him, is this poor India? Every body loves to say Jaane do yaar, who is going to suffer in the norms of Govt. This is a country of adjustment; Govt. has already been adjusted since last seventy years.

Once I had been to Mumbai, during my earlier time of job. Mumbai a great city, people are very loving. They have no time for others but they are taking care of each other. If you are walking on the road then you have to run otherwise the mumbaiyas will push you till the end. In local train also same kind of situation, you no need to getting up or getting down from the train. The Mumbaiyas will do these things on your behalf. You just be there at the right time on the right side. Else it would be very difficult to find your self in that city. Yes I mean to say Mumbai is very crowdy and very fast. A local train has the capacity of 500 to 700 people in a trip but it has been adjusted with 5000-7000. No people are waiting for the next one all said, jaane do yaar we will adjust.

Mumbai has beautiful places to visit. India gate, hanging park, Nariwan Point, Juhu chopati, film city, Laxmi temple in side the sea, Khandala etc. once I had been to the Laxmi temple with my friend and afraid to see the baggers. They are so realistic and difficult to see. We dropped some coins and walked few step away. While coming down I saw the baggers are looking like normal people and also marinating cell phones. When I asked my friend, he said me, “aare sab natak hai yaar, they have four wheelers, flats, bank accounts but still they are doing this. Do you know why? He asked.

Why I asked. Aare yaar its their Business. Jaanede Hota hai… Adjust aur digest karle.

So we are called as poor country where a panipuri wala maintains a cool life like a Software professional and baggers are living like a king size life. Still we are adjusting and digesting the things. It is India, where people are not aware, what are they doing? To save some money they are not asking for the bills, to save tax they are not showing their proper wealth. One more case I have to tell you,

Once I had been to one of my friend’s house. He is a bachelor and staying next to my lane. That was a Saturday night and we were in celebration mood. Rum, beer, wines were flowing every where. My friend cooked the food and I helped him as I am a non-alcoholic. When time asked us for foods, they are floored. We started eating, as all were drunk, they were not aware of the taste. Only I and my friend, who cooked, were in sense. I tasted the food and that was disgusting. I asked my friend, what is this? He said sorry yaar there was no salt so I put sugar instead. But my drunken friends are advising me, Jaane de na yaar, adjust karle. Ek din kit oh baat hai. And obeyed then and adjusted.

This is the situation of India, where we are dreaming for a Developed India, but we have not left the mindset of adjustment and jaane de na yaar. If such things continues then jaane de na yaar…
